A lot of the complaints mentioned below have to do with charging processing fees for deposits. Bovada now accepts deposits via bitcoin with no transaction fees! iDeposits occur almost instantaneously. Bitcoin is also the best withdrawal method because there is no 3rd party payment processing - money goes back into your Bitcoin account in 48 hours. Withdrawals are still limited tho to one free per month and any more have a small fee - this part still sucks.

I had my first withdrawal on March 17th, which was processed on March 19th. I received my notification email that my withdrawal would be available within 7-10 business days.



After 12 business days I reached out just to be safe, and was told there was an error with their 3rd party company that deposits into players' checking accounts. They advised to check my account and the money would arrive in the next few business days.



20 business days later, I called and spoke to someone. They said the same thing as the email, almost as if they were reading from the same script. They advised there is no way to track the withdrawal and they have no accurate time frame for the deposit.



30 business days later, I email again and ask them not to reply unless there was some kind of update. I received a call, who again told me that there is no way to tell when the money would arrive.



I did some research and found this is a common practice to blame any delays on the 3rd party company they use to deposit money into players' accounts.



If you decide to risk it and use Bovada, always choose the courier check and NOT the fast checkout option. There is nothing fast about it, in fact it is the most dangerous option because you are completely at their mercy. At least with a check, it can be mailed out and tracked.



Please safe yourself the hassle and use one of the other many other options for online gaming.

If you place big wagers then this may not be for you. If you only bet a few hundred on football, college sports, etc then this is for you. Simple platform, good customer service, easy deposit and withdrawal. Yes they charge for a deposit. You get one free check a month for withdrawal which is good for me because I only throw down when I have extra cash. The charge for a card is less than the juice a bookie would charge. All in all this isn't that bad at all.

Bad - They over withdrawal and blame it on the exchange rates. When you deposit your credit card is charged in a foreign currency then converted to dollars. Bovada often over charges you because of this. And don't expect to be reimbursed for the overcharge.



When you email them, they replied with generic/template response. Sometimes it takes 3 email exchanges to get the correct answer because of this.



Good - They respond fast to emails.



Withdrawals are quick (takes a 2-3 days to process and about 10 days to show up on your credit card statement). Withdrawals are applied by crediting your credit card or you can get request a check for $50.

I had an account here for a few years initially to play poker online, but started betting on sporting events a month ago. I won over $600 on a $35 bet. I was pretty happy.

Things to know: when you deposit money you have the option to not choose any bonus. That sounds stupid but if you win like I did and you elect to receive one of the bonus deposits, some of your money will be locked and you can not withdraw that money until you meet certain criteria. I choose casino bonus, I got $75 I think, but out of the money I won $a little over $500 was for me, the rest (about 150) was bonus money. To get that money I would have had to spend tons of money $4k at the slots to be able to take the rest of the money out. But good news, you can forfeit the bonus money and take your winnings. This is what I did. I was initially allowed to take out $250 approx. but after cancelling the bonus I was able to withdraw all of my money $500 (the wins in the fights won me about 150 in bonus money).

Next it takes some time to receive the check, I was told 4-7 bus days, then later 5-10 bus days. It was being sent from Singapore, when I called customer service they said they were in Canada.

There is no problem with that, in dealing with online casino there are regulations that have to be followed.

I just wanted to point out some things that I learned first hand, some of the reviews were pretty crazy, like the ghost using the computer or whatever it was. Anyways, I have had no problems with the site and still after a few years I have deposited only about $100 in and have taken out $500. Hopefully that will double this weekend. Remember to only bet what you can afford to lose, dont try to bet more to win money you already lost. Good luck!

I deposited $500 and was charged an extra ~$40 by Bovada. I checked with my bank and it was Bovada that charged it. I contacted Bovada and they gave me the run around and never refunded my money. GO SOMEWHERE MORE TRUSTWORTHY.

I've been playing on bovada for years on and off. I've always had a good experience. The startup bonus is be far the best. You have to earn poker points to be able to redeem it. It is nice seeing free cash appear in your account.

Whenever I take a payout and I've taken 3 I submit my payout through the site. Why call unless there is nothing to take out?

Bovada charges 4.9% deposit fee, but then charges your credit card more, blaming the exchange rates. Then, when you try to withdraw the max of $3000, they pick a withdrawal technique that they say has a max withdrawal of $2500 and if you want the other $500, you will have to pay a $50 fee for "requesting a withdrawal more than once within a month". I requested the max allowed of $3000 and then they sent me $2500 back via credit card. Unless you don't mind these screwing you over like this, don't waste your time with them.

I am a repeat customer but I am disappointed with my recent wager. I bet on the Wisconsin Arizona game played today. I won my bet but bovada couldn't find my bet. This has never happened in the past. Knowing that my bet somehow can be erased is discouraging. The money doesn't mean much but I can't enjoy wagering knowing that this can happen.

This past review by Austin Hoover was intriguing. I contacted a director at the company to discuss this particular player. They researched his activity and this is what really happened - the player did have a balance of $800 but then took some money to the roulette table. He started betting small - $2. But when he lost, he would double up to try to make it back.



Researching this player, he took some money to the roulette table, played a little bit and lost, and then deposited more to chase his losses, lost again, etc etc.



This is strange because if his account was truly hacked or compromised in some way, the perpetrator would have taken all the money to the poker room and dumped the chips to another account where the funds could then be withdrawn.



A fraudster would not have taken money to a roulette table and bet $2.



And what's interesting is that this same player had previously played in the casino, playing the exact same roulette game, and employing this exact same playing strategy of doubling up or chasing losses to break even or come out ahead.



His strategy just didn’t work this time, and now he has players remorse. Why would Bovada risk tarnishing their reputation over a mere $800 account when fair play is the most important aspect of an online gaming company?! They wouldn't, and they didn't.



I agree with Bovada and feel that Austin is upset that he lost his money. However, it was not Bovada's fault but his own.

I have been using Bovada for a few months now and was a very passive player. $50-$100 a month was my budget. On March 11th-12th of 2015 I ran $20 up to $800! Pretty sweet right? WRONG! I requested a payout not even 30 minutes after I had hit the magical number (5:30 AZ time) and boy was I ecstatic to finally be UP in my winngings! Welp, when I got on the phone to request a payout to be sent. I was informed in a polite manner that I had $0.98 in my account... I questioned this and thought the lady had miss spoken. Apparently she was right. I opened my account and that's all that was left. I said to her baffled "there must be some sort of mistake?" I JUST won that money over a course of less than 24 hours I even had that hand history number written down of my winnings because I wanted to save it! They transferred me to another person. He was looking at his computer and in a nice way told me no weird activity can be found on my account. I asked him but HOW? Did the money just poof disappear? He said that there was consistent activity on my account but I had left for 30 minutes to close down at work? He told me that the balance was $800 at 8:30pm EST. I said correct at 5:30 here in Arizona I stopped playing and called you 5 minutes ago so is there a glitch or delay? He told me "No, there is consistent activity with a few minutes delay of several different buy ins" I said to him that this couldn't be possible. So I investigated a little a knew the cameras at my work had been rolling! Guess what I saw? I saw back on my cameras just a few minutes being away from my keyboard that my computer had been being in use whilst I was away... by NO ONE. I'm talking windows opening etc. I asked him about what process I can go through to fix this because someone hacked into my computer?? He said there was absolutely nothing that could be done because of the information he had on his screen. I said what if I sent you the video that's all the proof right there. He told me his decision is final and that my money was gone... I was left in TEARS! Unbelievable what the world we have come to. I finally was up and ecstatic about everything and in one second, poof. My winnings were stolen. Don't get me wrong I love Bovadas site it's amazing but I will never feel the same about the site again. I witnessed first hand, "someone" take the money I EARNED and put it in there pockets without a 2nd thought. I have always been a good customer to Bovada and have told many people how great the site is. And now I'll make sure I let 10x more people know that they were unable to provide funds for me even when I had proof. he even said I had the balance when I said I left around 5:30. He told me over and over that my account is my soul responsibility... It is and I kept my purchases small for that very reason to be responsible and have fun. However I won't ever see that money again and won't ever play online poker again. All because of this incident. I suggest you be weary of how much you leave in your account on this website as it is very possible for it to be stolen by either an outside source or a certain poker site. Very Disappointing!

I am not usually one to post comments about companies, but I have to say I am extremely disappointed in Bovada's customer service and will never be using them again or recommending them friends. I made a sports bet which was cancelled by Bovada because they said it was a company error and the line was incorrect. In order for me to place this wager I had deposited extra money into my account, which is subject to about a 5% credit card fee. When they cancelled my bet, I asked if I could at least get my 5% fee back since it was their error to begin with. They refused to give me my 5% fee back and said they were "sorry."

I couldn't believe how fast Bovada has gotten at delivering checks for payouts. I requested Sunday night, was approved Monday morning, had the check shipped Monday and received it TUESDAY MORNING (from Canada to South USA). THAT'S A LITTLE OVER 24 HOURS FROM SHIPPING. Bovada, thanks for using FedEx now. You rule!

I have played Bovada for a few months and have had a great time. The poker games (hold 'em for me) are fun and interactive, as the players chat and have a good time.



I have had a lot of fun on their Blackjack casino game. This game is the best Blackjack I have encountered, including Tahoe and local casinos. The dealer does actually bust, unlike other sites, and I have had some very good wins.



The payouts are on time and very regimented. The checks have worked through my bank and I have had nothing but smooth transactions through Bovada.



I would highly recommend this site over any other online gaming website.



They also have reliable phone service.

I mainly use bovada for sports bets. Their odds/ money lines are on track with Vegas odds. I recently changed from from betus after waiting MONTHS for a payout card. I requested a pay out card on Monday and got a freaking check today (Wednesday). Their customer service is ok. On Sunday I had a live bet counted as a loss when I won. Obviously livid, I called and sat on hold with someone who alone rough English. It never got resolved so I sent a few emails. Probably an hour later I called again, and they had resolved the issue and debited my account. I am not a fan of the deposit fees (2.5%) I believe. Sounds small but adds up quick. There is also only one free payout a month for checks. I still couldn't believe it when the fed ex truck pulled up. It was sent as a Canadian check but in US dollars, so we'll see how long it takes to clear , but as of now I would reccomend this site to anyone . In the end customer service resolved a serious issue with a bet within an hour and paid out within two days

Beware the rules. I bet on soccer money line . My Team won in overtime ( no penalty kicks at end) but Bovada conveniently states that their moneyline doesn't include overtime - bcoz they have odds fit a draw! That result is possible in overtime too!

Bad customer service and payouts. Bovada is not worried about the customer at all. They are happy to take your money but when it comes time to payout they refuse to allow the customer to receive their money whichever way works best for them. Checks from Bovada come with guidelines on how to cash them; eg. "Can't cash at certain banks, and they give you a story to use if any questions come up about it." The easiest and fastest way to get your money is Western Union, but they refuse to let me get it this way even though I'm willing to pay the fee of $100 to get $1000. It's my money, and if I have to use my money to safely guarantee that I'm able to get the rest of my money than that choice should be respected and carried out. In my opinion having been playing online poker for a long time now, bovada is just not a good site. Obviously the best were Poker Stars, Full Tilt, and old PartyPoker, but nowadays with the restrictions we get forced to play on subpar sites that don't know or care that "the customer is always right." I no longer play on bovada and any referrals I make are directed towards Americas Cardtoom, which I think is the best overall site out there now.

Bovada Poker is a solid poker room - I like the mutlitable tournaments, I've won a couple already at the lower stakes. The tourney to play in is the Sunday one with a $100k guaranteed! I'm working my way into that one!

I live in Arizona and used to play at PokerStars before it was banned. Happy to find Bovada and the poker game seemed legit. I like the anonymous tables - no one knows who you are! Still working on the bonus but I will get it eventually I think. Highly recommend.
