The $6 Million GTD Venom event at Americas Cardroom (ACR) is going to arrive before you know it. With $1 million going to the person who can take it down, it is already causing the poker world to get excited. You can always pay the $2,650 buy-in to jump right in, but ACR also has plenty of ways to qualify through a number of Regular Satellites, Mega Satellites, Step Tournaments and Skip Tourneys. Cyclone events will start running on Thursday, November 14th and will be available for both desktop and mobile poker fans. They’re unique, a type of blitz satellite that is incredibly fast. Start by choosing any of the seven steps you want to buy into (see below), with the first step at just 25 cents, and, once you have 5,000 chips, you automatically move up to the next level. After you complete Step 7, you get a $2,650 Venom seat!
What makes Cyclones even more interesting is that you can stop playing them at any time without disturbing your chip stack – it remains intact when you resume the game. Additionally, finish with over 5,000 chips on the last hand – for example, 5,488 chips – and you will receive a step ticket to the next step with the 5,000 chips, while the remaining 488 will be used to automatically re-seat you on your current. This means you can potentially pick up an unlimited number of Venom seats with just one Cyclone entry.
